Refund & Cancellation
How the participation fee, refunds and cancellations work for Prodigy Ideathon Cohort 1.
Last updated: 27 August 2026
The participation fee is ₹100 per participating student, calculated on the school’s final confirmed student count. Tera Compute LLP invoices the participating school. Fees are not collected from students or parents directly by Tera Compute — the school decides whether the fee is student-funded or school-funded and maintains its own record.
Confirmation and invoicing
- The school provides its final confirmed student count through the official onboarding process by the stated onboarding deadline.
- The payable amount is calculated from that final confirmed count at ₹100 per student.
- Payment is made through the officially communicated channel.
Changes to numbers before the event
- Increases in the student count before the confirmed cut-off are added to the invoice at the standard rate.
- Reductions notified before the confirmed cut-off are adjusted against the invoice.
- After the confirmed cut-off, the amount is fixed on the confirmed count. Individual student absences on the day do not change the payable amount, because the programme, judging and materials have already been provisioned for that count.
Cancellation by the school
- If a school withdraws before signing the MoU, no fee is payable.
- If a school withdraws after the MoU but well before its scheduled School Round, any amount already paid is refunded less reasonable costs already incurred for that school (for example, dedicated scheduling or materials).
- If a school withdraws close to its scheduled date, the fee is generally non-refundable, because external judges, experts and logistics have been committed.
Cancellation or rescheduling by the organiser
- If Tera Compute cannot deliver a school’s event and it cannot be rescheduled within Cohort 1, the school’s participation fee for that event is refunded in full.
- If an event is postponed to a mutually agreed date, fees carry over and no refund is due.
- Events may be moved for reasons outside reasonable control (for example, extreme weather, public restrictions or venue failure); the organiser will offer a rescheduled date or a refund.
Workshops
The two included expert-led workshops carry no separate fee. If an included workshop cannot be scheduled within Cohort 1 due to expert availability, the school may select an alternative session from the approved catalogue. Additional paid workshops are governed by the separate terms agreed for them.
How to request a refund
Refund requests are made in writing by the authorised school representative to teracompute@gmail.com, quoting the onboarding reference. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment source within a reasonable period.
Precedence
Where this page and a signed MoU differ, the signed MoU for that school applies. This policy may be updated; the “last updated” date reflects the current version.
