Code of Conduct

1. Expected Behaviour

All participants and representatives are expected to:

• Treat students, teachers, judges, mentors, coordinators, volunteers and organisers with respect.
• Engage constructively in discussions, questions, feedback and presentations.
• Listen to differing perspectives and respond to feedback professionally.
• Use language and behaviour appropriate for a student-focused educational environment.
• Follow reasonable instructions provided by school coordinators, organisers, judges and event personnel.
• Maintain a positive and collaborative environment during all Programme activities.

2. Prohibited Behaviour

The following behaviour is not permitted:

• Harassment or bullying.
• Discrimination based on personal characteristics or background.
• Intimidation, threats or deliberately hostile behaviour.
• Abusive, insulting or inappropriate language.
• Deliberate disruption of presentations, workshops or other Programme activities.
• Cheating, plagiarism or intentional misrepresentation.
• Impersonation or misrepresentation of another participant or team.
• Fabrication or deliberate manipulation of information, research or evidence.
• Attempts to improperly influence judges or manipulate competition outcomes.
• Unauthorised access to Programme systems, accounts or information.
• Any conduct that compromises the safety, fairness or integrity of the Programme.

4. Digital and Media Conduct

Participants must use digital platforms, communication channels and event technology responsibly.

Participants must not:

• Share private participant information without authorisation.
• Publish personal contact details of students, teachers, judges or other participants without appropriate permission.
• Attempt to access another person's account or information.
• Record or distribute private conversations without appropriate permission.
• Use photographs, videos or other participant-related content in a manner that violates applicable school or organiser requirements.

Any photography, video recording or publication of Programme-related media should follow the applicable school and organiser approval processes.

5. Safety and School Environment

Prodigy Ideathon is conducted in association with participating schools and is intended to operate within a safe educational environment.

Participants must follow:

• School safety requirements
• School campus rules
• Event instructions
• Venue-specific requirements
• Reasonable instructions from authorised school and event personnel

Any behaviour that creates a safety risk to participants, staff, judges, volunteers or other individuals may result in immediate removal from the relevant Programme activity.

6. Reporting Concerns

Participants, teachers, school representatives and other Programme stakeholders are encouraged to report concerns relating to:

• Harassment
• Bullying
• Discrimination
• Safety
• Cheating
• Plagiarism
• Misconduct
• Privacy violations
• Unauthorised sharing of personal information
• Other serious breaches of this Code of Conduct

7. Enforcement

Reported concerns may be reviewed by Tera Compute and/or the participating school, depending on the nature of the issue.

Where a violation is confirmed, appropriate action may include:

• Verbal or written warning
• Removal from a session or activity
• Score penalty where relevant to the competition
• Disqualification from a round
• Withdrawal of qualification or recognition
• Removal from the event
• Restriction from participation in future Programme activities
