These Participation Rules apply to Tera Compute's Prodigy Ideathon — Cohort One and should be read together with the Terms & Conditions and other official Programme communications.
Prodigy Ideathon is open to students from Classes 9–12 through participating schools.
Each team must consist of 2–4 students.
Teams must participate through their registered school and comply with the eligibility requirements communicated by the organisers.
Each participating student is expected to contribute meaningfully to the team's submission and presentation.
The competition will progress through the following stages:
All registered teams from the participating school will participate in the School Pitching Round.
Teams will present their solution to a judging panel consisting of:
Depending on the number of participating teams, Tera Compute may organise multiple judging panels to conduct the round efficiently within school hours.
The top three teams from each judging panel will advance to the School Finale.
Where multiple judging panels are used, the shortlisted teams from all panels will present before a combined judging panel.
The School Finale will determine the:
1st Place · 2nd Place · 3rd Place
teams representing that school.
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams from each participating school will qualify for the Grand Finale.
These teams will compete against finalists from other participating schools before the Grand Finale judging panel.
The final rankings will determine the overall:
Champion · Runner-Up · Second Runner-Up
of Prodigy Ideathon Cohort One.
School Pitching Round

Teams must present their idea within the allotted pitch duration.
School Finale

Shortlisted teams will present their refined solution and respond to questions from the combined judging panel.
Grand Finale
5 min pitch

Finalist teams will present their solution before the Grand Finale judging panel.
Teams may be asked to stop their presentation if they substantially exceed the allotted time.
Teams must prepare their presentation using the official Prodigy Ideathon pitch-deck format or guidelines provided by Tera Compute.
The pitch should clearly communicate:
Teams are responsible for ensuring that their presentation is complete, accurate and ready before their scheduled pitch.
Any specific submission deadlines, file-format requirements or presentation instructions communicated separately by Tera Compute will also apply.
The total judging score is 50 points.
Each criterion carries 10 points:
Judges will score teams independently according to the applicable judging rubric.
In the event of a tie, the following order will be applied:
The final determination following the applicable tie-break procedure will be treated as the result for that round.
Teams must submit original work or appropriately attribute material belonging to third parties.
The following are prohibited:
Participants must comply with reasonable instructions from organisers, school coordinators, judges and event personnel.
The use of AI tools for ideation, research, brainstorming, drafting or other permitted purposes is allowed where consistent with the instructions provided for the relevant event.
Teams remain responsible for understanding and being able to explain their own ideas, research, solution and presentation.
AI-generated content must not be presented as independently verified fact without appropriate review.
Teams are responsible for the accuracy, originality, ethical use and integrity of their final submission.
Teams must not use AI tools to impersonate another participant, fabricate evidence, manipulate judging, or otherwise circumvent the Programme rules.
Tera Compute may introduce additional AI-use requirements for a particular round where necessary to maintain fairness and academic integrity.
All team members should be familiar with the submitted idea and presentation.
Judges may direct questions to any member of the team.
Teams should be prepared to explain the reasoning behind their problem selection, research, solution and expected impact.
Teams must remain available at the time communicated by the school or event organisers.
Failure to appear for a scheduled pitch without an approved reason may result in the team being unable to participate in that round.
Depending on the nature and severity of a confirmed violation, the organisers and/or judges may apply one or more of the following measures:
The response will be proportionate to the nature and seriousness of the violation.
Tera Compute may issue reasonable operational instructions and clarifications necessary to conduct the Programme fairly and safely.
Where an issue is not specifically addressed in these Participation Rules, the organisers may make a reasonable determination consistent with the objectives, integrity and structure of the Programme.
Any material updates to these rules will be communicated through official Programme channels where reasonably practicable.
