Prodigy Ideathon is intended for participation by schools and students in Classes 9–12.

Student teams are expected to consist of 2–4 students, unless otherwise approved by Tera Compute for a particular event cycle.

School registration, expression of interest, programme enquiries and other submissions must be made through official channels designated by Tera Compute.

Submission of a registration or expression of interest does not, by itself, constitute confirmation of participation. Participation is confirmed only after acceptance or confirmation by Tera Compute or its authorised representatives.

Tera Compute may refuse, suspend or cancel a registration where information provided is materially inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or inconsistent with the Programme requirements.

The Programme may include a School Round, School Finale and Grand Finale, as described on the website and in the applicable event materials.

The School Round may be conducted at participating schools during designated school hours, subject to coordination with the respective school.

Pitch and Q&A durations, evaluation methods, judging procedures, qualification criteria and event timelines will be communicated through the applicable Programme materials.

Tera Compute may make reasonable changes to the Programme structure, schedule, venue, format or operational arrangements where required for educational, logistical, technical, safety or other legitimate reasons.

Where reasonably practicable, material changes affecting participating schools will be communicated through the contact details provided during registration.

Participation in one round does not automatically guarantee qualification for a subsequent round. Qualification is subject to the applicable event rules and judging outcomes.

Each participating school should nominate an appropriate teacher, coordinator or authorised representative to coordinate the Programme.

Schools are responsible for communicating relevant Programme rules, schedules and requirements to participating students and their parents/guardians, where applicable.

Schools must ensure that participating students have the necessary permissions and approvals required under applicable school policies and law.

Schools are responsible for ensuring appropriate student conduct during Programme activities, including presentations, workshops, mentoring sessions and interactions with organisers, judges, mentors and other participants.

Tera Compute may request reasonable verification of participant eligibility or school authorisation where necessary.

Entries will be evaluated according to the published judging rubric and applicable event rules.

The judging panel may include representatives nominated by the participating school and judges, educators, industry professionals or subject-matter experts appointed by Tera Compute.

Judges will independently evaluate participating teams according to the applicable judging criteria.

Judging outcomes and qualification decisions are final for the relevant event cycle, subject to any grievance or review mechanism expressly communicated by the organisers.

Tera Compute reserves the right to correct an administrative, calculation or procedural error where a material error is subsequently identified.

Teams must submit work that they have created or substantially developed themselves.

Participants must not engage in:

• plagiarism or unauthorised copying;
• impersonation;
• fabrication or deliberate manipulation of research or evidence;
• abusive, threatening, discriminatory or harassing behaviour;
• deliberate disruption of Programme activities;
• manipulation of judging or qualification processes;
• unauthorised access to Programme systems or accounts; or
• any other conduct that materially compromises the fairness, safety or integrity of the Programme.

Where third-party material, research, images, software, data or other intellectual property is used, participants are responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions and providing appropriate attribution where required.

Use of generative AI or other technology tools must comply with the specific rules communicated for the relevant event cycle. Participants remain responsible for the originality, accuracy and integrity of their submissions.

A violation of these requirements may result in disqualification, withdrawal of recognition or restriction from further participation.

Participants and schools retain ownership of intellectual property that they independently create and own, subject to applicable third-party rights.

Participation in the Programme does not transfer ownership of a participant’s underlying intellectual property to Tera Compute.

By submitting materials to the Programme, the submitting school and/or team grants Tera Compute a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, display, communicate and distribute the submitted materials to the extent reasonably necessary for:

• Programme administration;
• judging and evaluation;
• verification of submissions;
• creation of Programme records and reports;
• displaying shortlisted, finalist or winning submissions in connection with the Programme; and
• truthful and non-misleading communication or promotion of the Programme.

Tera Compute will not represent a participant’s work as its own intellectual property.

Participants must not submit material that infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, patent, design rights, privacy rights, publicity rights or other legal rights.

Participants are responsible for obtaining any permissions required for third-party material included in their submissions.

Participants should avoid disclosing confidential or commercially sensitive information in public submissions unless they are authorised to do so.

Tera Compute or its authorised event partners may document Programme activities through photographs, video recordings, presentations and other event records for legitimate Programme administration, documentation and communication purposes.

Where identifiable student photographs, recordings, testimonials or other personal content are intended for public-facing promotional use, the applicable permissions and consents will be handled in accordance with Tera Compute’s Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Schools should inform Tera Compute in advance of any specific restrictions relating to photography, video recording or public display of participating students.

Tera Compute may collect information necessary to administer registrations, communicate with schools, coordinate Programme activities, evaluate submissions, issue certificates and provide related Programme services.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with Tera Compute’s Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection laws.

Where information relating to students is collected or processed, Tera Compute will apply the safeguards and consent requirements required under applicable law.

Schools and authorised representatives must not provide student personal information unless they are authorised to do so and have obtained any permissions or consents required under applicable law and school policy.

The website may use third-party services for registration, forms, hosting, communication, analytics or other Programme-related functions. Their processing of information may be governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

The applicable participation fee, workshop fee, custom programme fee or other charge will be communicated through official Programme materials, registration forms, quotations, invoices or other authorised communication.

The current student participation fee for Prodigy Ideathon is ₹100 per participating student, unless otherwise communicated for a specific event arrangement.

Any applicable taxes will be charged in accordance with applicable law and reflected in the relevant invoice or payment documentation.

Schools should not make payments to individuals or third parties claiming to represent Tera Compute unless the payment channel has been verified through official Tera Compute communication.

Refund eligibility and cancellation terms are governed by the applicable Refund & Cancellation Policy published or communicated for the relevant Programme or event cycle.

Where a separate refund policy applies, that policy should be read together with these Terms.

Tera Compute may postpone, relocate, modify, suspend or cancel part or all of the Programme where reasonably necessary due to operational, educational, logistical, technical, safety, regulatory or other legitimate circumstances.

Such circumstances may include venue unavailability, severe weather, natural disasters, government directions, public-health emergencies, security concerns, technical infrastructure failures, transportation disruption or other circumstances beyond the organiser’s reasonable control.

Where reasonably practicable, Tera Compute will communicate significant changes to participating schools and may provide an alternative arrangement where feasible.

The website may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, registration systems, payment platforms, communication tools or other external services.

Tera Compute does not control third-party platforms and is not responsible for their availability, content, security practices, privacy practices or terms.

Use of third-party services may be subject to the terms and privacy policies of those third parties.

The Prodigy Ideathon website may provide downloadable resources, including pitch-deck templates, programme catalogues, guidelines, reference materials, presentation assets and other event-related files.

Tera Compute takes reasonable measures to review and maintain the integrity of files made available through its official website. However, no internet-based file transfer or downloadable resource can be guaranteed to be completely free from malware, viruses or other harmful code.

Users are responsible for maintaining appropriate security measures on their devices, including up-to-date operating systems, browsers and security or antivirus software.

Tera Compute shall not be responsible for damage, data loss, security incidents or other harm arising from the use or downloading of files, except to the extent such liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Users should download Programme resources only from official Tera Compute channels and should not rely on modified, re-uploaded or unofficial copies of Programme materials.

Only files hosted or directly linked through the official Tera Compute website should be considered official Programme resources. Tera Compute is not responsible for files claiming to be Prodigy Ideathon materials that are obtained from unofficial sources.

Users must use the website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not interfere with its operation or security.

Users must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its servers, databases, administrative interfaces or associated systems.

Users must not knowingly introduce malicious code, malware, automated attacks, scraping mechanisms or other harmful technology into the website or associated systems.

Tera Compute may temporarily restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, its users, Programme operations or third-party systems.

Tera Compute aims to keep Programme information accurate and current but does not guarantee that all website information will always be complete, error-free or continuously available.

Programme dates, venues, fees, eligibility requirements, schedules and other details may change.

The latest official communication provided to participating schools should be considered alongside information published on the website.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical issues, hosting problems, cybersecurity incidents or third-party service interruptions.

The website and Programme materials are provided for Programme participation, educational and communication purposes.

Tera Compute does not guarantee that participation in the Programme will result in any particular academic, professional, commercial or other outcome.

Workshops, masterclasses and Programme materials are intended for educational and development purposes and do not constitute a guarantee of any particular result.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tera Compute will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses arising solely from the use of or inability to use the website or from circumstances outside Tera Compute’s reasonable control.

Tera Compute will not be responsible for losses arising solely from outages, failures or interruptions of third-party services such as hosting providers, communication platforms, payment processors, registration platforms or other external systems.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where such limitation or exclusion is prohibited by applicable law.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, a school or participant may be responsible for losses, claims or reasonable costs arising from its material breach of these Terms, infringement of third-party rights, fraud, wilful misconduct or unlawful use of the Programme or website.

This provision does not require a participant to indemnify Tera Compute for losses caused by Tera Compute’s own unlawful conduct or for liability that cannot legally be transferred.

Questions, complaints or concerns relating to the Programme should first be raised with Tera Compute through the official contact channels provided on the website.

Where a specific grievance, review or appeal mechanism is provided for an event cycle, that mechanism will apply to the relevant issue.

Tera Compute will make reasonable efforts to review legitimate complaints and respond within a reasonable period.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

Subject to any mandatory statutory rights or remedies available to a party, any dispute, claim or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Prodigy Ideathon Programme, or the use of the website shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts having jurisdiction in Delhi, India.

Nothing in this section shall prevent a party from exercising any statutory right or remedy before a forum having mandatory jurisdiction under applicable law.

Tera Compute may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Programme, website, applicable law, technology or operational practices.

The updated version will be published on the website with a revised “Last updated” date.

Continued use of the website or participation in the Programme after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable where legally permissible.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply.

These Terms, together with the applicable Programme rules, registration terms, Refund & Cancellation Policy, Privacy Policy, Code of Conduct and other official Programme communications, constitute the framework governing participation in Prodigy Ideathon.

In the event of a conflict between these Terms and a specific event rule or written Programme communication, the specific rule or communication will apply to the relevant event matter to the extent of the conflict.
