Refund / Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 12 August 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy ("Policy") describes the refund and cancellation terms applicable to participation in Tera Compute's Prodigy Ideathon.

1. Participation Fee

The participation fee for Prodigy Ideathon is ₹100 per participating student, unless a different fee is expressly communicated for a specific event arrangement.

The applicable fee is communicated to the participating school before student registration and payment.

2. No-Refund Policy

Once a school's participation has been confirmed and the applicable participation fee has been paid, the payment is non-refundable.

No refund will be processed for:

  • cancellation of participation by the school;
  • withdrawal of a student or team after payment;
  • a team choosing not to participate after registration;
  • absence from the event;
  • failure of a participant or team to attend its scheduled pitch;
  • changes in the participating team's composition after payment; or
  • disqualification or withdrawal arising from a violation of the Programme rules.

Schools are therefore advised to confirm their participation and student registrations carefully before making payment.

3. Event Changes or Postponement

Tera Compute may modify the event schedule, venue, format, timing or programme structure where reasonably necessary due to operational, logistical, technical, educational, safety, regulatory or other circumstances beyond the organiser's reasonable control.

Where reasonably practicable, significant changes will be communicated to participating schools through official communication channels.

Where an event is postponed or rescheduled by Tera Compute, the organiser may provide an alternative participation arrangement or revised schedule, subject to operational feasibility.

Such rescheduling does not automatically create a right to a refund.

4. Event Cancellation by the Organiser

If Tera Compute is required to cancel the Programme entirely and is unable to provide a reasonable alternative arrangement, the organiser will communicate the applicable next steps to participating schools.

Any refund in such circumstances will be considered and processed solely in accordance with the circumstances of the cancellation and applicable law.

5. Payment Verification

Schools should make payments only through payment methods or payment instructions officially communicated by Tera Compute.

Tera Compute is not responsible for payments made to unauthorised individuals, accounts or third parties claiming to represent the organisation.

6. Third-Party Payment Services

Where payment is processed through a third-party payment gateway or service provider, the transaction may also be subject to that provider's applicable terms and policies.

Any applicable statutory rights or remedies remain unaffected.

7. Clarification Before Payment

Because payments become non-refundable once participation has been confirmed and payment has been made, schools are encouraged to clarify any questions regarding:

  • participation;
  • student eligibility;
  • team composition;
  • event schedule;
  • participation fee;
  • workshops or inclusions;
  • cancellation; or
  • event arrangements

before making payment.
